The renowned choucroute is an absolute must. Pickled cabbage infused with garlic, spices and wine is piled onto your plate and topped with any number of sausages, potatoes, bacon and maybe even dumplings. Those with a sweet tooth are in for a treat too ! Try the wonderfully filling Dampfnudle which is a kind of pasta bun served with sugar and fruit or the Kougelhof, a sweet bread made with kirsch or rum topped with raisons and almonds. If you still have some room don’t miss the Alsatian cheese, Munster !
