Around Piazza Pie II, the Piccolomini Palace, the Borgia Palace and the Cathedral showcase this extraordinary vision, which makes its historic centre one of the most beautiful in the world. Next a visit to a cheese factory and tasting followed by a wine tasting. Continue towards Montalcino known for the Brunello wine that is found on some of the best tables in the world. The fortress, the churches, the narrow streets, the sinuous staircases and the municipal palace, take you back in time. Departure for San Gimignano (about 80km). Accommodation is booked at Hotel Le Colline (or similar).

DAY 5 - SAN GIMIGNANO - COLLE VAL D'ELSA - SAN GIMIGNANO (30km)
Morning visit of San Gimignano. Seventy-two towers raise towards the sky. The Manhattan of the 13th century. This is how San Gimignano is presented, one of the best preserved symbols of medieval Italy, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An unmissable stop on an unforgettable itinerary. At the end of the morning continue on to Colle Val d'Elsa (about 15km) to visit a glass factory (hand-blown glass). DAY 6 - SAN GIMIGNANO - MONTERIGGIONI - SIENA - SAN GIMIGNANO (58km)
Breakfast
Departure for the visit of Monteriggioni. One of many charming perched villages, as there are so many in Tuscany. But this one, surrounded by a wall bristling with towers, and dominating the rolling countryside of the Sienese countryside, is particularly proud. You have to visit it - on foot - to discover, as soon as pass the doorway, a harmonious space with its small Romanesque church. A busy afternoon spent in the sumptuous city of Siena : the streets of Siena wind through the ramparts of surprising proportions before reaching the magical Piazza del Campo, where the heart of the city beats. It is on this square that the Palio Delle Contrade takes place every year, which allows the 17 districts (contrade) of the city to confront each other. The Palazzo Publico, like Piazza di Campo, is built of red bricks. Its construction was undertaken to accommodate the government of the city and it has now become a museum. The "Torre del Mangia" is to the right of the palace. Return to San Gimignano. Accommodation is booked at Hotel Le Colline (or similar).

DAY 07 - SAN GIMIGNANO - LARI - PISA (90km)
Breakfast
A small stop is necessary in the small town of Lari, near Pisa to visit the pasta factory. The smell of freshly-cooked pasta invades its neighbouring streets. It tells us that 20% of their wheat semolina comes from Canada, that it takes more than 50 hours to dry artisanal pasta as opposed to 3 hours in industrial production and that bronze materials are used so that the dough should be rough and not smooth, which allows the preparation of the sauce to soak well in. Continue to Pisa (about 34km). If the "Torre Pendente" immediately attracts your attention, take note of the admirable architectural ensemble of which it is part, rising from the lawn of the Piazza dei Miracoli. Indeed, on this "field of miracles" besides the tower, the Duomo, the Battistero and the Campo Santo, as well as two museums were also built. Construction of the Duomo cathedral begun in 1063 and was completed in the 13th century and this building sums up Pisan Romanesque art, with its superb facade adorned with arcades. End of tour.
