Cala Verde was built just next to the 5-star, luxury «Forte Village» surrounded by a luxuriant vegetation and protected in the midst of a pine-forest at the edge of the sea. Cala Verde offers easy access, at several different points, to the main beach of Santa Margherita di Pula but also to other little fine sandy creeks.

The residence Cala Verde is situated 2 km from the village of Santa Margherita di Pula, 10 km from Pula and just 35 Km de Cagliari.
Here a calm and peaceful atmosphere reigns and the children can reap the joys of nature and a direct acess to the beach.
The apartments are scattered around this residential area, surrounded by luxuriant vegetation, either on the ground or on the first floor and just 150 to 600 m from the white, sandy beach.

Places to visit

Pula , distinguished by its beautiful houses, with an arcade of seven inner courtyards in the true traditional style of Sardinia, this charming village offers its tourists many different and varied services and entertainments. Pula offers all the tradition and the beauty, characteristic of the vast territory of the south coast.
Pula is renowned for its excellent tomatoes ("Pomodorini di Pula", to be eaten not too ripe) as well as for its delicious pasta. It’s an absolute must to sample the huge pizzas.

A small town that is lively with its many shops, pizzerias and restaurants, as well as being one of the most famous archaeological sites in Sardinia: the ancient town of Nora with a theatre in very good condition. The remains of Nora are to be found at the archaeological museum.

Chia and the cap Spartivento (Chia is pronounced "Quiiia", like in "Chianti").
Chia’s large sandy beaches: "Campana", "Su Giudeu", "S'Acqua Ucci" und "Cala Cipolla". the "Su Giudeu" beach is particularly recommended for surfing.

The Chia coast road – Teulada : This road (one of the most beautiful on the Sardinian coast) starts at Chia and leads to Teulada via the cap Spartivento). All along this road are visible many sarrazin towers, white, sandy creeks and magnificent landscapes, right up to the little fishing village of Teulada.

Sant’Antioco The peninsula of Sant'Antioco, at a distance of 62km from Chia (90km from Cagliari) is linked to the "continent" of Sardinia by a narrow isthmus. It is of doubtless archaeological interest for its archaeological digs, its «tophets» (Phoenician children’s graves) and its little catacombs.

In the town of the same name, founded by the Phoenicians in the 8th century B.C., today can be found bars, pizzerias, fish restaurants (which are excellent). In the spring time can be sampled red tuna fish, caught locally, of which most is exported to Japan.

Carloforte, island of San Pietro: Ligurian fishermen, coming from the Tunisian island, Tabarka, settled there in the 18th century, bringing their traditions and culture to Carloforte. This is still visible today in the dialect, the architecture and the style of cooking with dishes such as "Casulli alla Carlofortina" (pasta, with tomato sauce, pesto and tuna) or the "Tonno alla Carlofortina" (Tuna fish in Carlofortaise style) and the "Couscous alla Carlofortina".

Is Cannoneris nature park, about 20km away; a narrow road, sometimes no more than a track, leads to the "Is Cannoneris" nature park, where a certain type of deer, specific to Sardinia, can be observed.

Polaris nature park, about 3 km away, direction Is Molas, where deer and wild boar are to be found in the middle of nature.

HEALTH : Before leaving, remember to obtain the E111 social security form which ensures cover by the social security abroad.

Extra information

The fragility of the Italian system of energy is a reality in Sardinia. The electricity board norms are only 300 megawatts and as a result of this, it is not possible, for example, to use two electrical appliances at the same time.
As Italy is not equipped with nuclear energy, the risk of a power-cut or of a black-out linked partly to the hot climate, might inconvenience you.
We just wish to inform you of this potential inconvenience, which is beyond our control.

From Cagliari (38 kms) :
take the S.S 195 direction Pula, Chia. After the famous hotel « Forte Village », at Km. 39.800, turn left into the pine forest of the résidenza La Pineta, the agency is situated in the car park.

From Porto Torres (260 kms) :
take direction Sassari, SS 131 road, then continue direction Cagliari. On entering Cagliari take the SS 554 (Cagliari’s ring road) direction Pula, Chia. After the famous hotel « Forte Village », at Km. 39.800, turn left into the pine forest of the résidenza La Pineta, the agency is situated in the car park.

From Olbia : (340 kms)
take direction Cagliari- Sassari, SS 131 bis road, then continue direction Cagliari on the SS 131 road . On entering Cagliari take the SS 554 (Cagliari’s ring road) direction Pula, Chia.
