Chianti isn’t just a geographical and historical region, but it is also the symbol of the Tuscan culture. It is situated south of Florence and north of Siena. The ground lies on a rocky base and it’s a miracle that vineyards, forests, olive groves and magnificent gardens, as far as the eye can see, grow out of this fine layer of earth. The region has a singular history: land of conflicts between Florence and Siena, land of saints and soldiers, of peasants and lords, land of hills and mountains, scattered with farms, villas, citadels, abbeys and sturdy castles. Needless to say is also the birthplace, over 500 years ago , of the most famous of Italian wines.

The residence, which is made up of 15 apartments, is situated just near the medieval village of San Donato in Poggio, 20 Km from Florence and 35 Kms from Siena. Set in the middle of the Tuscan countryside, it boasts a magnificent view.!

How to get to the resort

By road : Genoa, Livorno (A12 motorway), exit direction FLORENCE-LUCCA East and continue direction Florence. On approaching Florence, take the exit Florence Certosa and take the motorway direction Siena. Exit at San Donato in Poggio.

Turn right towards the centre of the village, at 200 m after the old church, turn right and follow the signs to the residence « La Pieve ».
