Skiing area

The skiing area of Méribel, the valley of Méribel, is part of the famous skiing area of the three Valleys, the biggest skiing area in the world . The great variety in the different types of skiing on offer, means that all skiers, whether beginners or advanced, get a maximum amount of pleasure out of skiing here! The resort is equipped with modern ski lifts and enjoys an excellent quality of snow, due to its high altitude (85% of the slopes are above 1800 m) as well as the high quality equipment for producing artificial snow. You just need to take one ski lift from Méribel, to get to this mythical skiing area where you can practise all different winter sports : skiing, snowboard, free ride, snowcross, mogul skiing etc. or simply learn to ski in total tranquillity, in areas specially reserved for beginners.

Your holiday rental

The Residence « Le Hameau du Mottaret » at Méribel is made up of large, wooden chalets and offers direct access to the shops and ski lifts of this ski resort in the Savoie region of the French Alps . It is linked to the centre of Méribel Mottaret, by the free telecabin « Les Chalets ».

All apartments, ranging from the studio apartment for 3 to the 3-roomed duplex apartment for 7, are fully equipped: kitchenette with oven and dishwasher ( except in studio apartments for 3 pers), bathroom or shower with toilet, generally a balcony.

The residence does not have any apartments specially equipped for those with reduced mobility.

Types of skiing for which lessons are available:
- Alpine skiing : from beginner to competition level.
- Snowboard, telemark, mogul skiing, freeride : for beginners or confirmed skiers
- Slalom : arrow or silver chamois level required. Courses led by trained instructors
with competition experience.
- Discovery skiing : in the biggest skiing area in the world, lessons in off-piste skiing (for intermediate skiers) or sensation skiing for advanced skiers.
- Cross-country skiing : classical, not skating, biathlon, tests and night-time skiing.

Miscellaneous

- Deposit (2 separate payments : apartment + cleaning) and tourist tax to be paid on the premises.
The deposit is given back after inventory on the day of departure or by post.
The accommodation should be left perfectly clean. Otherwise a statutory sum will be kept from the deposit.

Arrival on Saturday between 5.00 and 8.00 pm
In case of late arrival, you MUST inform the residence, who will give you the procedure to follow
Departure on Saturday, before 10.00 am

The reception is open every day from 9.00 am to 12.00 and from 4.00 to 7.00 pm
Saturday from 8.00 am to 9.00 pm

How to get to the resort

- By car : A43 motorway to to Albertville, then RN90 to Moûtiers, then D90 to Méribel Mottaret. Once in the resort, Méribel Mottaret is situated above Méribel, turn right on entering Mottaret direction le Laitelet, "le Hameau" is situated in the upper parts of the resort.

- By train : Moûtiers TGV station (25 km).

- By plane : Lyon Saint Exupéry (185 km), Genève Cointrin (135 km) and Chambéry (95 km)airports
