Accomodation

Housing estates between 100 and 1000 m from the sea :
The different housing estates, made up of little houses with or without communal swimming pool (the size of the swimming pool differs according to the number of apartments on the estate) or apartments are scattered over the seaside resort and blend into the natural unspoilt surroundings of typically Mediterranean-type vegetation.
They are simply designed and practical, and all enjoy a sea view.


Both little houses and apartments, without communal swimming pool, are allowed entry to the large swimming pool of the water-activities' centre (entrance fee to be paid on the premises) open from mid-June to mid-September from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 4.00 to 8.00 pm

Places to visit

Castelsardo: Picturesque little, medieval village built on the top of a hill, overlooking the sea. Stroll in the little pedestrian streets, visit of the medieval castle, the cathedral and museums. The old Sardinian women on their doorsteps still sell objects they have woven by hand to the tourists.

Porto Torres : The town rises up on the coast of the Asinara gulf. This was an important centre during the time of the Roman Empire, then the capital of the Giudicato de Logudoro before Sassari. From these ancient times, it still keeps the impressive ruins of the Roman thermal baths, called the « palais du roi barbare » built between the 3rd and 4th century AD and the remarkable church of S. Gavino built in Roman-pisan style.

Santa Teresa di Gallura : The little seaside town, founded in the middle of the19th century to eradicate smuggling between Sardinia and Corsica, became a sought-after holiday destination as from the sixties. It offers a magnificent view, taking in the Maddalena islands and the corsican coastline.

Stintino : A fishing village and currently one of the most popular seaside resorts!! The salina and Pelosa beaches are particularly renowned.

Beaches in the vicinity : Vignola and Isola Rossa (about 10 kms)

FORMALITIES : Valid identity card or passport (even for babies), to be presented at port or airport

HEALTH : Before leaving, remember to obtain the E111 social security form which ensures cover by the social security abroad.

Extra information

- Car absolutely necessary. Sardinia doesn't have a good public transport system.

- The fragility of the Italian system of energy is a reality in Sardinia. The electricity board norms are only 300 megawatts and as a result of this, it is not possible, for example, to use two electrical appliances at the same time.
As Italy is not equipped with nuclear energy, the risk of a power-cut or of a black-out linked partly to the hot climate, might inconvenience you.
We just wish to inform you of this potential inconvenience, which is beyond our control.

How to get to the resort

From Santa Teresa (27 Kms) : SS 133 bis for 1,5 Kms, then SS 200 for 25 Kms

From Olbia (92 Kms) : SS 125 to Arzachena, then take minor road direction Luogosanto, continue towards Aglientu and exit at Vignola. At crossroads, turn left direction Sassari on the SS 200. Costa Paradiso is about 15 km from the Vignola crossroads, on the right.

From Porto Torres (70 Kms) : take the SS 200 direction Santa Teresa di Gallura; go past: Castelsardo, Valledoria, Badesi, then at about 12 km from the crossroads Isola Rossa/s.Trinita d’Agultu on your left you will find Costa Paradiso.
