Situated at the heart of the Pyrenees, Cauterets is a medium-altitude village ski resort, nestling in its beautiful, natural setting, 30 km from Lourdes and opposite the highest peak in the French Pyrenees, the Vignemale. This resort strikes an ideal balance between tradition and modernity. Cauterets, which has been well-known as a spa town for several centuries, is now also one of the greatest winter sports’ resorts.

Accommodation at the resort

The hotel and the residence are situated right in the centre of Cauterets, 100 m from the new telecabin , which gives direct access to the skiing area.
Acces to the 5 thermal baths is free for those staying in the Establishment. With their 5 floors and lift, they form a truly modern complex.
- The bedrooms are all fitted out with bathroom and hair dryer, toilet, telephone, television, free safe on request. Some rooms have a balcony.
- The apartments, from the studio apartment for 2 pers to the 4-roomed cabine apartment for 12 pers, are all fully equipped with kitchenette (electric hot plate, mini-oven) - the 3 and 4-roomed apartments are also fitted with a dish washer and a micro-wave - bathroom with toilet, telephone, television and generally with a balcony.
The following are at your disposal: restaurant and bar, a covered fee-paying car park and free outdoor car park at a distance of 50 m.

Skiing area

Ideally situated at the edge of the Pyrenees national park, Cauterets offers two high-quality skiing areas :

Cirque de Lys
• 21 downhill ski slopes over a total of 35 km : 2 black, 7 red, 7 blue, 5 green
• 15 ski lifts : 9 ski-tows, 4 chairlifts, 2 telecabins
• snowpark



Pont d’Espagne
• 5 cross country skiing circuits over a total of 36km
• 4 downhill ski slopes: 2 green, 1 red, 1 black
• 2 ski tows and 1 chairlift
• Sledging run, footpaths and snowshoeing circuits

Thalasso / Balnéo

- The Balneo centre, an 800 m2 space with:

5 pools heated at 32°, numerous jets and bubbling baths, hammam, sauna, fitness room and solarium.

- The «verrière enchantée » Indoor 300m2 play area for children aged 3 to 13, spread over 3 floors, with game consoles, a mini cinema, a lounge area for parents.
- Opening times vary according to the time of year and hotel and residence clients, information at the “Balnéo Aladin”centre.

*This area is under surveillance to ensure correct functioning of the games and for reasons of hygiene.
