The centre and the Casole courtyard form the “Piazza”, a central little square with its buildings dating from the Middle Ages, its narrow little streets, its boutiques selling typical products, all respecting the original character of the former village.

Your holiday rental

La Pergola estate comprises a 4-star hotel and 24 apartments. It is situated right in the Tuscan countryside, at an altitude of 380 m, in a quiet and peaceful setting and easily accessible from Casole d’Elsa, 3 kms away, a little town of Etruscan origin, which has preserved its medieval character.

Accomodation

The buildings that make up this restored farmhouse have all been renovated and equipped simply and comfortably, offering apartments ranging from the 2-roomed apartment for 2 pers tjo the 6-roomed apartment for 10 pers, fitted out with kitchen corner (gas cooker), shower room (+ 1 extra bathroom for apartments with at least 4 rooms), terrace or garden.
The 6-roomed apartments also have a dishwasher, an extra bathroom and a panoramic terrace of about 40 m2.
The «superior» 4-roomed apartment for 6 pers have a private swimming pool and a car park (shared with one other apartment).

The apartments are all different and unique.

How to get to the resort

Directions to follow for PERGOLA/HOTEL AQUAVIVA

1)From the north (via Milano-Bologna) :
Exit the A1 motorway(Autostrada del Sole) at the exit FIRENZE IMPRUNETA, turn immediately right onto the fast road (Superstrada) for Siena. Exit at COLLE VAL D'ELSA SOUTH (as the North exit is closed for roadworks) then follow directions as for routes 1 and 2

2) Coming from the North (via Alessandria-Genova)
Follow the motorway (toll) Genova-direction Livorno; then (at Viareggio) direction Firenze.
Before arriving at Firenze, follow the direction Roma,on the motorway A1.
Leave the A1 (Autostrada del Sole) at the exit FIRENZE IMPRUNETA.
Turn right immediately onto the main road (superstrada, without toll) for Siena.
Exit at COLLE VAL D'ELSA SUD (las the North exit is closed for roadworks).
then follow directions as for routes 1 and 2

For routes 1 and 2
At the first roundabout, do not follow signs to Casole d’Elsa, but turn right, following signs to VOLTERRA, going through the town of Colle di Val d’Elsa.
about 1 km after the town of Colle Val d’Elsa, at the church of LE GRAZIE (ESSO petrol station),
6,8 km from the motorway exit, turn left, direction CASOLE D’ELSA.
Follow the road for about 7 km, turn right at the first roundabout, continue straight on,
also at the second roundabout, for 3,7 km, direction de Volterra.
You will see the hotel Aquaviva on your right, at the top of the hill, about 17 km after the motorway exit

3) alternative to route 2
At Viareggio continue on the motorway (toll) to CECINA NORD, leave the motorway and join main road(strada statale) n° 66, direction VOLTERRA.
At Volterra continue (without going into the town) direction COLLE VAL D’ELSA on the main road SS 68, for about 14 km after Volterra, (51 km from the miotorway exit), you will see a white road sign LA PERGOLA ; turn right onto the road for Casole d’Elsa.
Continue on this windy road, going through a wood ; coming out of the wood you will first see a country house, straight afterwards (7 km from the main road),
the AQUAVIVA hotel, on the top of the hill, on your left.
