Skiing area

The ski resort of Cauterets, in the Hautes Pyrénées, offers two skiing areas for yourskiing holiday. The skiing area of the Cirque de Lys offers 36 km of ski slopes for all levels, with an exceptional amount of snow. 20 pistes accessible from Cauterets by means of the Lys telecabin, in just 12 min. Ski in a superb setting, with an unforgettable view of the village of Cauterets, of the valley and the peaks of the mountain range of the Pyrenees. Free style fans will appreciate its extraordinary snowpark which is recognised as one of the best in France. Another skiing area accessible from Cauterets, is the Pont d’Espagne. It is especially reputed for the outings if offers in cross country skiing and snow-shoeing at the heart of the unspoilt and magnificent natural setting of the Pyrenees national parkl. This site, situated 7 km from the Cauterets road, also offers alpine ski slopes , perfectly suitalble for family skiing and for beginners, as well as a seure sledging run.

The 5-storey building, with lifts, comprises 126 apartments in all, some self-catering and some in "hotel formula" The hotel and the residence, making up a modern, 3-star complex, are situated right in the centre of Cauterets, 100 m from the new telecabin, and 150m from the thermal centre.

- The apartments, from the studio apartment for 2 pers to the 4-roomed apartment with cabine for 12 pers, are all fully equipped with kitchenette (electric hotplate, mini-oven) (the 3 and 4-roomed apartments are also fitted with a dish washer and a micro-wave) bathroom with toilet, telephone (direct line), fee-paying satellite television, fee-paying WiFi and generally with a balcony.

Leisure activities

Free activities and entertainment in the relaxation centre on the first floor of the hotel (valid for the hotel and the residence, excluding the ”verrière enchantée”, fee-paying activities and entertainment.)

The « verrière enchantée »:
Indoor play area of 300 m2 for children aged 3 to 13 years, with a 3-storey structure, games’ consoles, a mini cinema, a relaxation space for the parents.
As the opening hours are variable according to the different periods and to the number of occupants of the residence, please check with “ Balnéo Aladin”.
The area is under the observation of an adult, to ensure that the games work properly and that the premises are kept clean. Children must be accompanied by their parents and remain under their responsibility.

The thermal baths : Rich in silica, sulphur and trace elements, the thermal waters of Cauterets, which are warm and plentiful, are particularly beneficial for breathing problems and for rheumatism.
